Actual Qualifying Service Of Pre OROP Lt Col / Cdr / Wg Cdr Pensioners Compared to QS Of Pensioners Retiring After 01 Jan 2016 Of Same Rank Drawing Equivalent Of 2.57xOROP Pensions

The title of this blog post and the following table are self-explanatory.

Retirees in above-mentioned ranks need to compare their own QS in the table in col. I with QS, in the same row, of a post 01 Jan 2016 pensioner in col VII who will draw the same pension as the pensioner who had retired earlier.

As an example, if the assumptions and figures are correct, a Wg Cdr who retired in 2004 with 33 years of service (Col I) and has a OROP pension of 34765/-, will get a VII CPC pension of 89346.05 after the 2.57xOROP decision is implemented. This will be the pension of a Wg Cdr retiring in 2016 with about 24/25 years of service (Col VII).
