This was discussed previously as well, though in a different format. Links will follow shortly.
If the modified IOR of 2.67 is not factored in presently and the VII CPC matrix for level 12-A, as it currently stands, is used as a basis, a comparative chart based on factual figures and the methodology as promulgated in the OM for civilians leads to a table of VII CPC formulations which may work out to much less than even the ambiguous 2.57xOROP formulation presently in force. The notional VII CPC Pension worked out on the guidelines in OM for civilian pensioners are fitted to the next higher stage in Level 12-A of the matrix.
A previous blog post had tried to consider the equivalent QS under VII CPC if the pension already fixed using the 2.57xOROP is considered as a basis. If we use the 2.57xOROP pension as a basis, the highest pension VII CPC for a pre 2006 Wg Cdr pensioner works out to be approximately the same as one for a current Wg Cdr retiree with a QS of 24 to 25 years. There is a table in that blog.
Please compare your own QS, OROPx2.57 pension with the table in order to form an idea of what manner of rationalization would be required in respect of re-fixing ESM pensions.
It is worth repeating, these figures are only speculative in nature and the true picture will emerge only after formal instructions are issued for implementing pension re-fixation.
