VII CPC Pensions Based On Level 13 For Colonel Pensioners

This is a purely speculative consideration based on the assumption that a Col with 15 years of service in 2016 would be drawing the pay at index number 1 of level 13 in the 7 CPC matrix.

The corresponding pensions can then be tabulated as follows:

Level 13 Corresponding To Rank Of Col

Now older pensioners in Col rank can cross check as to which index number in the matrix would match their QS at retirement and then what their 7 CPC pension ought to be as per that index number by the yardstick of “level” based calculations.

But, it would all depend on actual fitments, of course.

{Update: With the release of a Press Note on 04 May 2017, Method 1 / Option 2 of CPC recommendations appears to have given way to a Modified Formulation }
